97% of Indians are poorer post COVID as unemployment levels moved into double digits, at 14.73% in May 2021 and household incomes in India slumped nearly 75% on average.

Although COVID cases in India have reduced, the pandemic still continues to directly affect several vulnerable populations across rural and urban areas in the country.
Dasra committed to continue supporting grassroots organizations which are leading efforts to provide relief to such communities. Although headlines have moved onto the next trending topic, there is still an urgent need to support credible organizations which are going above and beyond to ensure no Indian is left behind.

Through our
#BacktheFrontline campaign so far, Dasra has supported and channeled resources to 142 NGOs across 31 States & Union Territories in India, helping them accelerate their COVID relief efforts which are focused on awareness, immediate care, medical support, training and capacity building of frontline workers, mental health support, financial assistance, skilling and livelihoods.

Uniquely, many of the NGOs supported have strong women-focused leadership and truly imbibe the JEDI lens (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) as they work with extremely vulnerable communities who have borne the brunt of the pandemic.

In ordinary times, breathing is taken for granted! The 2nd wave created a huge demand for concentrators. @dspmf & @dasra via "Mission Oxygen" procured & distributed O2 concentrators to healthcare facilities, hospitals & others in greatest need. #DoGood: https://t.co/yw3Y1EeW9A pic.twitter.com/kcHcziqdzq

A story of solidarity and compassion.

Vulnerable herself, Kavitadevi, a widow who was jobless since two months, passes on the food ration kit to her neighbour, out of compassion.

Thank you, @dasra for supporting communities towards combating #Covid19 crisis.#covidrelief pic.twitter.com/suptAActea
