Rebuild India Fund identifies grassroots, community-centered, underfunded organizations through a unique sourcing and selection approach which prioritizes leaders who are proximate to or from vulnerable communities, anchored in the lens of Gender Equality Diversity and Inclusion.
Organizations are recommended by NGO networks working with NGOs across India.
The NGOs are and ranked on a criteria based on three principles:
(1) Leadership by individuals and boards with lived experiences of the communities they serve
(2) Community Centricity in designing programs and in building the capacity of vulnerable groups through training and collectivization
(3) Vulnerability of the communities served, with a focus on intersectionalities across gender, caste, geography, religion, disability, and socio-economic status

The Fund places a strong emphasis on these ranking parameters to ensure that the selected non-profits are well equipped to make a positive impact on the communities they serve. All parameters are explored through transparent recorded conversations with prospective grantees recommended by nodes. Using a normalized scoring system that gives equal weightage to all criteria, the assessed non-profits are presented to an independent investment committee for final selection.
